is somthing wrong with the ps3 network forums?

Postby twistedblister » Sun Feb 28, 2010 9:27 pm

i tried to log in a few times and one it kept prompting me for my password and id

never a good idea to respond to strange pop ups asking for you info.

so i just kept navigating away from there.

i finally got to the forum by linking from sony.com

and the forum format is all messed up.

did the site get hacked? is it getting updated? anyone hear anything?

OK. hip seems like the ps3 netwrok has either locked me out and stolen back the content i bought from them. aka all the borderlands DLC. or someone has hacked my account and i am now locked out of it and offline.

my guess is someone eihter accuesed me of cheating or sony thinks i am becase all my dlc is gone.

big time wtf kids. ahhh sony you might want to check how i play. MF'er.

ok my DLC is there that was my main concern. when i first logged in it gave me a few trophies and stoped. i thought that was goofy but over all i had my DLC and my saves and i was happy ( DLC was missing but the guns i got in them i had but could not use. ha. )

ok now the trophies are back. cool i guess its back to normal. i hope a firmware update is releaseed to update the old ps3's though at some point. i know the story says you dont need one but man give me a plecebo system update at least.

one last thing. the forums on the psn are still F'd up. they are all white and look very very strange. again not a huge issue for me i am just noting what i find very strange. to me that means its not just a ps3 system firmware clock thing.

Yes, the forums are majorly F'd up.

Changes
-White appearance instead of black
-No psu names anymore, just psn names

The site is very laggy and sometimes the forums load improperly so it is just all the game names stacked on eachother. Just give sony a couple days and their site builders will fix it all up. I hope the lithium mods are going through hell.

i was hoping i was not the only one to notice this occourance.

this is what makes me wonder what else is going on here becase that has noting to do with the way the date and time work on the old gen ps3's

As I am the only one who seems to frequent the forums often, but post rarely anymore. {used to post a ton}. I have to say the forums are now running a lot better. Sometimes when logging in it keeps asking you to try again and it never works. I generally just close the site and re open and try again, if it still doesn't work try again later.

As for the new forum look, once they look at post numbers for the month they will see posts have greatly declined. The new forum look single handedly killed both the warhawk forums no joke. Activity from every clan on the forums is about 0. They have all just fled to their clan websites or popular clan websites. To make up for this they tried recolloring the names which they did a year or so back. Unfortunantly the names are nice, but noticed not nearly as much as they stuck out a lot more on the black forums.

Lithium/Sony has made a horrible mistake with the forums, while the look is not bad in my opinion others will disagree. This new look has pushed many away with it's errors and just general uglieness.

I babble to much....

NO you bable not to much sir.

dude thanks for the heaping handful of info.

i was wondering if anyone else was getting log in issues. mine seemed like key stroke trackers so i never did enter my info.

it seems like sony has a temp webpage hosting the forums to me. just looks so cheap.

meh.

thanks for the input man.

This site version will last less than a year in my opinion.
Their site which was up and going great looked pretty smooth, and was perfect.

Then they took away kudos from clan boards, took away colored names, broke warhawk into two sections. Their decisions keep going downhill.

to me it was like night and day. one day the psn was the way it had been minus those
comunity tools you mentioned

and next day the login is broken and the site looks drasticly different.

Horrible thing. The lithium moderation team also has been doing a horrible job. Topics should be locked if they get out of control. If they are related to the topic in any legit way they should stay, popularity contest or not. The moment people start tipping over tables it should be stopped. Unfortunately the moderators actions I think dampen the spirit of the community and anger them.
