I believe you're talking about dublin dr pepper, in the 70's it became too expensive to make soft drinks with cane sugar, because of new import tariffs, so most companies stopped using them and used high fructose corn syrup instead. But the guy who owned the dublin plant, was just all FUCK DAT SHIT and continued on with cane sugar.
