yeah but the sad thing is their are students in his grade that really really need help, kids that are flunking, and to me it seems that the teachers dote on the better students and dont help out the students that really need the help.

He is in that "group" that excel in just about everything, the teachers favor those groups and push those students to get the highest state scores to make them look good, I do not agree with their thinking behind this idea, it is supposed to be No Child Left Behind.

My best subject is writing (or spanish cuz my average es cien!) because I know a lot of big words and a lot of weird ideas that are fun to read. I don't want to be an author though because I would get bored writing like a 100 page book. It's almost like ADD.....

and to the last few posts... Yeah I know a few teachers who always talk to and call on the smart kids. They always get the "class awards" It really makes me mad sometimes.

yeah so I dont know if im cursed or blessed, Luckily he is smarter than average, but then again he has to do more to keep himself up there now, hopefully he can just tough it out thru the rest of his school years.

Spanish=100
ELA 90 something, it's been awhile since I found out.
Math= around 85-90
Science- 80 something.. ONLY BECAUSE I USUALLY DON'T HAND IN PAPERS
S.S. 90 someting.

that is about the same as when I was in school, but here they are pushing kids into pre algebra in 4th and 5th depending on the kid
