Hey, I heard the max partition size for the ps3 is 10 gigs. Is that true? (As in, I would have 140 for linux, 10 for ps3 or vice versa)

sort of it would be the reverse most likely as during the partition you are given a choice of where to put which OS. either one ( and sorry i forget the breakdown its more like a precentage then an actual amount) but then you just chose the biger partition for PS3 and the smaller for linux. the install is around 450 to 630 MBs so you have lots of space and most people dont install the server and other software.

Ok, so it's not a set 10 gigs, I can allocate more than that.
Also, minor update. I now have a switch to turn on the power supply/hard drive thing. I used to have to unplug it from the power strip, so just makes it a little easier. To turn it on, there there is a green and a black wire on the plug the goes to the motherboard. When they are connected, the power comes on (ie. when you press the power switch). So I just put a switch on them, instead of having them permanently connected.
Once again, there's a picture at

I forgot to say . I like the button. nice placement as well. :_)
yeah i am sorry i dont have nubmers its all precentage. you get 2/3 for one chunk and 1/3 for the other no matter size it breaks it into two chunks you can do with as you please.
FYI if i pick up the upgrade to yellow dog 5 > 6 ha. and i verify that it still follows the GNU / LInux free / open software liscene. I will burn anyone a copy that is crazy enough to do this to thier gaming rig. cause why do it if you dont have the updates really. the GNU/Linux license allows you to redistribute the software everyone clap for Richard STallman. and if you have never seen it ( its very dated now ) check out Reveloution OS. it might be hard to find and rent but its very good.
