Hey Gem you might be on to somthing. I am still not much of a handheld guy but the latest issue of Wired had a snipet about the I-phone as a comprable gaming hand held device.
it asys its procesor is twice as fast as the psp. its touch screen more responsive then the DS adn somthing about a 3 axis accelerometer like in the WII mote. i have no idea about the last thinig. Cell tower and Wifi conectabliity would allow for multiplayer games. hmmmmmmmmmmmm that got my attention.

Now apple has to prove it can support game studios better then it has and this could get interesting

It has great possibilities but sadly they will probably only release simple games you download from itunes or mobile games which suck (exept tetris).

Hey yea. It already has better games then any other phone. I dont know if any of you are familiar with the game "labryinth" but that is my favorite game on the iphone so far. It uses the 3 axis accelermeter! You have to get a ball from one side of your phone to another by tilting your phone in diffrent directions. Its fun, check this link to see it!!!!!

Also i have NES, gameboy, gameboy advance, orignal playstation, sega genises and super NES emulators on my phone with HUNDREDS of games to play! I have almost every NES game that was ever made on my iphone including Zelda, Aventures of Link, all the marios games and crap load more, alonog with tons of the other consoles games like Sonic, contra, tekken.... whatever game you want you can get. They are working to make the Iphone more of a gaming machine!! You are right TB it is powerfull and they are now trying to take advantage of that by making game designed specifically for the iphone! Here are a few vids of what i will be getting later this year for my iphone!!! Very Very COOL

my son got his first cell phone in 2nd grade.....cause im his dad and he loves me and likes to call me, and text me, and call me some more, and text me alot more....now hes goin in 5th grade and i wanna rip that fone out of his hand and shove it up h...........but hes my kid and he loves me.......

Thats funny. I can not picture my child hood involving a phone its such a huge change. I had to walk to the principals office if i needed to call someone

well you can have any app you want use any provider you want and upload and program widgets and doo dahs ( for give the tech speak) for you phone much like you do on the web.

problem parents won't buy me m games though my bro got back from camp so i should be expecting it soon :]. Yeah ipods look cool i just don't dig the little ones. Also my parents wouldn't buy me 200 bux for a big one just for music. I would have a better chance of gettin 200 bucks with a ipod, phone, iband, little games.
