Week 3 - Life With a Spudster

Postby krazykat » Sun Mar 07, 2010 2:50 pm

Put a poll up out of curiosity and I'm trying to think of some additions to keep these threads interesting for ya'll.

Anyway this week has been pretty interesting I guess. My school break is this coming week I have 3 1/2 days of school. This week I have just talked with the girl I like and some friends. Then I went over and played MAG at my friends. I've efficiently gotten him to lvl40. All I do is knife in mag and run around with bullet resistance, extended knife range, faster knife. I generally have a 1.6-2.00KDR per round just knifing getting about 50 kills. My friend can barely get 20 kills a round with a gun :haha: :haha: Anyway i'm pumped to be getting the ps3 back over break, I'm also pumped for this new site move. Last but not least I want to see what's happening with all you guys. It seems to be a more and more rare site to see you guys around.

EDIT

ooh and halo reach. playing odst has me feeling the halo love. i never played online but am tempted now. i have a few physical friends who do this so it should be an easy fit for me to hook up with some group.

this week is great. for me at least.

today was senior skip day, so i missed school to chill with friends. tomorrow only juniors come to school for some tests or something. Wednesday and thursday is another day of testing so i dont' have to go to school till like 11:00 or something. and friday is a full day, but is basically gonna be a free day in all our classes cuz the juniors had to do so much.

fuckin awesome week hahaha

Ok since I dont post much anymore I ill tell everyone what is happening.

As many (or some, or none) of you know, I own my own construction company.
But where I live help is hard to find as everyone is wrapped up in drugs or just to damn lazy to work. I have been thinking of shutting it down after 20 long years of doing good.
I have worked on everything from state highways, remodeling convience stores,, remodeling mcdonalds, building houses, remodeling houses, etc, etc.

I had been thinking of getting into duralast, which is a commercial specific roofing product, I was all lined up to go to their school, I met with the rep for this area and hit it off great with him, he wanted me to buddy up with a guy that we both knew and that has been doing duralast for quite awhile, but then I would have to move to OKC , which I didnt want to do.

a week ago while at our lumber yard I saw a sign hanging on the door, some out of town company looking for help, I laughed because I know the help situation around here.
Later that evening I called up one of my employees and had him drive down and get that phone number for me, I have no idea why I wanted it, it was just one of those things that I had a gut feeling I should call them.

So after talking to them I found out that they had the contracts to build our new schools and they were looking for help in this area, Sorry but they needed no one with my level of experience, I told him to just keep my number in case something came up and that was the end of that.

3 days later my phone rings and it is the same guy that I talked to and he is in town and wants to meet with me, so I go meet him and he wants to know all about what I have done and what I would want for pay to work for them, he said the price I gave him was to high and unless I came down then there was nothing to talk about, so we left it at that. He said he would call me monday (today)

But later that same day I got a call from one of their project managers and he wanted me to come see him, so I did, talked about the same stuff that I talked to the first guy about. And what I wanted paid.

Today, I get a call from their main office in Arkansas, the HR lady has me get online while talking to here and fill out 7 pages worth of applications so they can get it run through immediatly.

To make a long story short...

It looks like I will be running a project along with another guy on an 18 month remodel of the school my kid goes to :laugh2:

Work starts this week and they have even set up doublwides outside for 2 temp classrooms

And I still dont know what Im getting paid :laugh2:
I hate it when the voices in my head go silent.....I never know what those fuckers are up to.

it's hard, this always happens.

"instead of a game, i could get this"
Image

or instead of 2 games i could get this
Image

Or instead of 3 i could get this
Image

and so on until it get's to, "instead of 210 games i could get.."

it sounds petty and retarded that those are huge decisions in my life, but i fucking love synthesizers...

In other news, Hey cool Fish ;), hope the project goes well for you!

In also other news, my Grandfather's pretty sick, He's ignored the shit out of his diabetes and the wife doesn't care, the other day he had a blood sugar rating of 1, 25 is supposed to be healthy :s. He'll be fine though, no amount of car crashes and skin cancer has managed to kill him yet.

TT thats not petty man that mixing borad looks like it came off the space shuttle.

sorry to hear aobut your Gpa. its tough getting old.

as for me good week up untill last day when I responded to a unfished project to my superrior explaining that i did my assignment but had no idea my coworker had not given me complete details on his so i could not have been responsible for completing his.

my superiror got pissed and told me I should not have complained and thought i was blaming him and setting him up to get chewed out by his superior. now he thinks i am a dick and a whiny bitch. great. 3 months of not sighing when i am asked to do the stupidest mundane manual thing and i get nailed for trying to CYA myself.

you cant win some times. any way craw fish boil at my old high school today. that should be relaxing.

EDIT

crawfish cook off was awesome. i am so full of cyane peper and crab boil that my skin is radiating heat :-)

ok a little update on this, I got a call from the project manager whom I will be helping out, he said all my stuff came back good and they have been rushing to get me going.

last week they did my background check, a bunch of verification crap, and even made me go pee in a cup, the guy said this is normally a 3 or 4 week process but i did it in less than a week and they are driving my paper work down to me instead of mailing it so I can be on the job when it starts

and I still dont know what I am getting paid :laugh2:

man dont feel bad it took HR 3 months to get me onboard at my present job.

and its the only time in my life i had a prostate exam for a job. at least i know i am current ly cancer free.

oohh man the money is scrry. i did not get my exact figure until i was really on the job. that was odd that i did not have a firm paper with the offer but in my case it was about where i expected it to be.
