First off Noodlez it just started today and Nintendo won? Seconed what did they do impressed you so much? I saw a trailer for a the new zelda but what else do they have.
There also making 3D DS right. 3D seems gimmicky to me.

gab -_- E3 started on monday with the microsoft press conference, when i made this post both nintendo and sony finished their press conferences..ergo a winner can be chosen you obviously did not see the press conferences if your asking what nintendo did that was so impressive...they came in guns blazing right from the start with zelda..then showed a crappy mario sports game and a crappy just dance sequel and then proceeded to shock the freaking world by showing us the return of donkey kong, a goldeneye remake, the return of KID MOTHERFUCKING ICARUS!!!!! kirby!!!! goldensun!!!!!! they even showed actualy gameplay of epic mickey which looks great and the 3ds is gonna freaking ROCK!!!!!!!! its 3D with no need for glasses!! and the games coming out for it are freaking AWESOME and the graphics are gorgeous on it....idk what else to say but thank u nintendo you finally answered my prayers except one thing...i dont wanna use the shitty wiimote to play the great games they have coming out =[

Yeah I posted that really late last night. I forgot that each company does one press conference. I thought from some reason they'ed show more today and tomorrow.
Anyway thats a really good showing for nintendo. a lot of great games plus and new handheld. They really brought it this year.
playstation had a few games but nothing hadn't heard about. The Sly Collection, Twisted Metal, SOCOM 4, inFAMOUS 2, and LittleBigPlanet 2.
playstation is also doing 3D technology and already have a few games you can download but threr older games.
What do you guys think of the optional playstation plus? 50 bucks a year but they give alot for that fifty dollars.

i dont like it...well they were too vague, is it a select free game a month we get or do we get to pick what game we want? also is it just 1 free game and early access to demos that we're getting, wheres the party chat and the cross game voice chat? what about making netflix part of the $50 we're paying...its still ages behind xbox live which gives a lot more for the 50 bux especially now with the free espn app coming....as of now in my opinion the psn plus is full of fail just like mostly everything else in sonys presentation except for twisted metal and of course the greatest moment in E3 history...Kevin Butlers speech!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is priced at 49.99 and Sony said it atleast had 199.99+ worth of content.
All the PSN minis, PSN games, and PS1 classics are only valid for the time in which you have subscribed to the service.

Any content that you buy with your PSN store discount and any avatars, dynamic themes, or dlc that you received from being a member of PSN Plus is also yours.

If you were to re-subscribe at a later date all the previous minis, psn games, and ps1 classics you had received in the service will be renewed and you will be able to use them again and the content you get in the future, till you subscriptions deadline.

Basically you get to keep about 25% of what they give you, and then on top of that you get discounts on the things in the store, and even discounts on already discounted items. (Like say a discount on the already discounted Spring Fever items)

MS - Horrible show, Halo Reach looked cool, Fable 3 did nothing for me, Gears 3 did nothing for me, all I saw was games that I already knew existed. Their speakers were also very poor speakers. Oh and I forgot to mention, Natal 'Kinect', very unimpressive, considering almost every game was ripped off a wii or ps3 title.

Sony - Ok, so Sony... Big gray area..

Bad - Very little time was spent on the psp and ps2, which to me was showing more that the systems were starting to become more of the past. That was surprising, yet boring.
Bad - Showing of KZ3, yea cool game, but hey sony, we don't have 3D glasses.
Bad - I really think they should have popped out last guardian, and two or so 'teaser' trailers.

Good - Then the big VP of everything showed up, hilarious to say the least, yes a little cheesy too.
Good - GT5 Dated
Good - Twisted Metal
Good - Exclusive stuff with new Assassins Creed, Medal of Honor, and Deadspace two
Good - PSN +

Nintendo

Good - Zelda, Duhh
Good - 3D DS
Good - Showed a good few games

The thing the disappoints me about Nintendo is honestly, I've always shown a love for the DSs and it just seems like plopping out a new model with a new name, slightly changed, makes people drop in awe. Truthfully 3D DS isn't very impressive and is vastly over-hyped, it always comes down to the software, because honestly Nintendo doesn't have impressive hardware, IMO.

Unfortunately, Nintendo is yet plopping down again, they are milking their Zelda, Mario, and Metroid Franchises.
In my eyes Nintendo will never win a show until I see atleast 2 new MAJOR 1ST PARTY ips, that aren't nintendog joke crap. I mean real stuff. Casual or hardcore, i don't care which one.

Honestly - Nobody won or lost, except for MS, but that is because their show was horrible. When it came to Sony and Nintendo, their shows were DECENT at best.

nintendo great first party everything else not so much and it just doesn't have the power of the other systems. I understand why their not releasing a new console their still selling wii's and I have no idea how many units were sold world wide but its probably a staggering number.
Why put out a new system when you still have a huge base...... and nostalgia. It has loads of that.

As for the DSs as cool as it is to put little mods release them and make a ton more money, I don't want to see a new Nintendo hand-held until it has REAL change.

the 3ds is a different system though...its more powerfull, it has 3d and again i repeat WITHOUT THE NEED OF GLASSES...and it also now has a new type of analog stick on it...u cant see it and bash it for being another ds...and bsides evry time a new ds comes out it sells like crazy the ds is a great freaking system to me its the best portable system ever especially if you like rpgs and platforming games...im extremely excited for the 3ds and its potential

Lol, so true, Sony will never make it anywhere in the hand-held market until they get more developers and actually noticed exclusive franchises. Nintendo has Zelda, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Kirby, Mario etc.. Sony has??? Wait there isn't one..

Sorry Noodz but Nintendo needs to cut the shit, throwing on a new analog and adding 3D that is very likely horrible does not make it worthy of being a whole new system.

If they would have released a DS compatible with GBA/GBC games, two analog sticks, and 3D, then I'd be the first one to buy it and say it was the greatest product on earth.

I would have much more liked if Nintendo got on stage and announced a wii with a dvd player, I don't care if it's a blu-ray, but atleast a dvd player.
Every other console has one, why not Nintendo.
A Wii HD + Dvd Player/Blu Ray Player = awesome.

I can't really fairly judge the 3D DS until I see it in action, but until then it is just another DS 1.6 system.

Why the heck would you want a DVD player? Why not just spend $30 and buy one. Running DVD's which constantly spin at max speed ultimately shortens the life of your system.

And you guys are on drugs if you are saying Nintendo didn't win. If you didn't watch all three conferences you really can't decide as simply hearing what each showed just isn't the same.

360: The only thing I cared about was MGS Rising. Halo? meh, and hello we just played it last month in the beta. Gears I thought was a bit boring honestly, sure they will attract mass appeal and I give them that. Even as much as I tend to dislike COD, I knew they'd show it. But that was it, the rest of their conference for all intensive purposes wasn't about gaming. The ESPN thing? Cool, but not about gaming at all. Kinect has some awesome technology, but they showed off some of the least appealing games ever. Virtual pet? Come on really? Then dancing games and an exercise game? The only remotely cool looking one was the racing game, but all you could do then was just pass cars for a set amount of time and they didn't say if you could use the gas or brakes.... Ultimately MS had a very poor show, very interesting tech, but they failed to deliver.

Sony: I'll admit Sony had a good show, however they spent such a long time talking about stuff that simply didn't matter. Kevin Butler's speech was funny. But then the PSP commercials? kind of silly to show them. They had some nice exclusive announcements, like the fact that MOH will come with a version of MOH Frontline and Dead Space 2 will come with a version of Dead Space Extraction. Their move showing was solid, Sorcery while not revolutionary looked fun. GT5 finally gets a release date. Twisted Metal at the end was great. KZ2 was cool. The Portal 2 stuff was cool too. But the press conference dragged on and on. They threw out too many montages and spent too much time talking about advertising on Coca-Cola boxes. Like a say a good conference but....

Nintendo: Honestly they had a great conference. The Zelda showing wasn't all that great as it had some technical issues, which had me worried then two more casual titles in a row, then they proceeded to hit us with awesome title after awesome title, in no particular order:
Zelda
Goldeneye
Golden sun
Metroid
Kid Icarus
Kirby
DK Country Returns
Epic Mickey
DQ IX
Kid Icarus

All of which I want and the feedback I've seen has been pretty positive.

And while I'm not sold on 3D in gaming yet, I'm very excited to see how the 3DS works. All impressions I've seen have been good. I've heard the 3D effects are nice. The 3DS itself can put out some nice graphics. http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/game/?g=mgseater That kills MGS Peace Walker's graphics.

I mean to me it's a slam dunk win for the Big N, even Nood says so.

Yes, they don't make them anymore, but people still play ps1 and ps2 games, and people still play GBC and GBA games.

All the conferences were mediocre in the end, except MS they just fell flat.
