I just saw this on the system update tab?

I have mine on firmware 2.42 and i sawon the PSN that 2.43 was supposedly only for japanese systems. but out of boredom i went to system update on my system settings and it sees it.

do or have any of you upgraded your firm ware to 2.43 ? if not what firmware verisoin do you have ?

It said on the post it would see the update if you forced an update. But it seems it doesn't do anything that we can tell so I didn't bother updating to 2.43.

if you updated it nothing will happen except that you will need to go to folding home then download the new version after that folding home will be changed to life with PlayStation.

Life with playstation has nothing to do with 2.43 it was an update a few weeks back. It changes folding at home to give you weather and news.

2.43 is for the japanese mainly to help their intrernet and stuff.

Thanks guys. i did not download it from what i can tell its not necesary so i am not pushing the update until the system demands it. thanks for the info guys.

yeah i got 2.43. i think mine prompted it for me though, wait let me check something..........No i'm not currently living in japan. hmmmmm
