Call Of Duty

CoD: Black Ops

CoD: Black Ops

Postby krazykat » Tue May 11, 2010 4:12 pm

Sounds like it could be fun. I just hope it is a giant step away from COD MW2. It is made by Treyarch.

I am just hoping for some good graphics, a good story, and a revolutionized online experience.

But hey it is a call of duty game, my hopes are way to high.

Meh, I'm way more interested to see what MOH comes up with. COD is just played out and overhyped to me now.

... MOH was at one point done by the guys who eventually made COD. It was around before COD, just been on a long hiatus. Sorry Nood, but that sounds pretty silly when we've heard next to nothing about MOH. COD we've seen for the past few years, and very little has changed.

And you know what, if MOH is COD MW2 with dedicated servers and fixed glitches, how is that such a bad thing?

Could of sworn black ops is about Vietnam, not the cold war, but I haven't kept up.

I think black ops is indeed about the cold war.

I totally forgot about MOH, by far my favorite fps game to date. I played MOH airbourne and I've played CoD3 which came out much later (I think) and even CoD4 and truthfully I preferred that junky old ps2 game (MOH Airbourne). I'm very excited to see what it has in store for us. I think the online experience could even rival BFBC2.

So far BFBC2 is winning me on the fps grounds, 2nd - MW1, 3rd - MW2.

Do any of you have any info on the new MOH, other than that heart touching trailer?

MOH came first...but call of duty went modern first...and honestly this new MOH is coming on the heels of the whole modern warfare craze started by call of duty...not only is MOH going to be inferior to cod but im 100% sure even battlefield is going to be better than this

It is true they are coming on the heel of MW2, but I think the MOH team will be able to throw out great maps and a good weapon system. I was overly impressed by the maps the MOH team has pushed out in their previous games.

I think if MOH strays away from perks and focuses more on the weapon system like BFBC2 did, that they might create a wicked fun online experience.

They are at a disadvantage coming in late to the game, but we do not know how long they have been working on the game. This could have been in production since MW2 was in production for all we know.

I think MOH is going to be very similar to MW2 but there will be obvious differences for instant..DICE is working on the online portion of the game so we most likely wont see any killstreak rewards and crap like that...and we are probably most likely going to see stuff get destroyed...im thinking the game is gonna have a call of duty single player with a battlefield multiplayer which isnt bad but its too late...and very bad timing...halo reach and cod: black ops are due out this fall and if predictions are true resistance 3 might see a fall release hopefully soo its looking hella crowded for fps blockbusters...good thing little big planet 2 is coming though...thats my main game for this fall =]

I doubt we'll see as much destruction as BFBC. They've already said it's not going to be like BF's multi.

If anything I'd be thinking red faction (1&2) destruction. Maybe a little more. Of course no RF: Guerrilla stuff. I would not mind if they made it so there was no bullet penetration. Yes it is realistic, but it takes away from the shooter.

Black Ops or MOH? haha.

Both will probably be revealed in full at E3.

It's called a teaser trailer for a reason.

I saw that earlier today and to whoever was doubting its online being close to BFBC2, it says DICE is developing the online portion. Same people who made BFBC2. So it looks like it'll be awesome! (Hopefully)

And as I said, they already said they aren't going to make it MOH BC3. Don't expect it to be BC2, not saying it's going to be bad, not at all, just don't expect Dice to make the same experience for MOH as BFBC2.

I have never expected that or hoped for that. I was more pointing out that DICE, a very good studio, who has just thrown out a very good online game on the market, will be doing the online portion. I would be truly dissapointed if the experiences are similar. As I think each IP should have its own unique experience and style.

You reiterated what was said 4 days earlier and said whoever was doubting it would be close to BFBC2. Thinking you were saying the 2 would play similarly online is not that big of a logical leap.... haha

PS From the info I've read in black ops you are fighting northern Vietnamese so once again I ask are you guys sure we are talking cold war?

In all honesty though, I'm waiting on Battlefield 3, not BFBC3, but Battlefield 3. BF2 is great, hoping to see something about BF3 at E3.

Ha, I guess I should be a tad more clear :laugh2: I meant close to as in, quality, not play.

I haven't played any of the rest of the BF series, but I hear they were great. I'd also love to hear some about a BF3 at E3.

Hmmmmm, Vietnamese, maybe we are talking about Vietnam I guess. I'm so confused if it's cold war or Vietnam.

Vietnam is part of the cold war and the trailer showed scenes on snow covered mountains...so...im sure its cold war
