If you had to pay a monthly or Yearly fee?

Ok i was thinking about the differences in Sonys and MS's approaches to online gaming. and was wondering what i would have done if i had been required to pay for the privalage to play warahwk. I am not sure i would be palying.

in my first week with the game. i was constantly Pwned on DM servers and gave up. after a month i put the disc back in and wound up getting the hang of it and starting to be consumed by the game. so if i had been required to pay for / per month i might not have come back and might not be playing now.

that would depend on the monthly fee

when i first got warhawk it was a couple months before i opened it up, then i put it in one evening and played morning noon and nite, now i have slowed down alot so i dont get totally burnt out

Honestly if it was a reasonable price i would pay! I dont want to... and wouldnt be excited about it but i love the game so i know i would pay if i had to. If i said i wouldnt pay i would be lying!!

hey gem that is somthing i did not include in my question but nice add. now that i am hooked god its tougher for me to say now i would not pay.

this is my problem with the way MS is runing the xbox live. small fee once a year cant help as much as it agrivates the comunity. yeah they try to provide content. but i swear i am head over heals with warhawk and if people understood the game it self was the draw they would make the money there. hell now i am just going sideways here.

yeah Kat i got ya . to play should be a choice weather or not you have to pay a monthly fee is the nasty side of it. I put everquest on a PC a long time ago ( demo or freemail type deal) when it asked for my credit card i uninstalled it. I can t stand pay for play. its almost casiono like.

ha fish. i can imagine it siting there staring at me just whispering " playyyyyyyyyyy meeeeeeeeee" ha. wow. I did put it on the side for a month but that was becase i was gettint my ass handed to me each time i loged on . now i have the hang of it every thing else is dusty.

Exactly also it wouldn't quite work with my parents being anti online. But i think online is a pleasure that should be enjoyed for free.

Thanks guys for posting your thoughts. I hate that i have to pay for my xbox online service. and i am begining to wonder if i will have to lose my ID and not pay this year. grrrrrrrrrr.

Well yeah thanks it does suck but i do not see why one model like sonny offers you server access for free and MS 360 makes me pay it just bums me out. what is really messed up is that there is a glitch that if i am not online my downloaded games will not load correctly. meaning i lose games if i lose my account that is a completely wrong mess.

actually now that i have had time to think about it, No i probably would not pay to play, Its total BS that we pay so much money for the consoles them selves, then get ripped on the games, after all that we should play for free..
My console was 600 bucks for the 80 gig, and games at 65 bucks including tax for the recent releases, i already pay someone else to have internet, playing online should be free after all that. So to sum it up, if it was pay to play, i probably wouldn't be here.

I have to say this is where i lean but i dont want to discourage any posts no matter thier oppinion. i want to see any thoughts.

I have always had an issue with games charging for play time. that is why i have never been a big MMORPG player. i could not see the price per month being worth it. hell put adverts in my game do whatever you have to but i will find fun games that dont require pay for play. that said i dont mind pay for addon or updates if i like the game enough.

its enough i pay £45/£50 - $90/$100 for a game and they want me to pay monthly HELL NO, even if its £1 - $2 i wont pay.

I've payed my share for other online games and was nice to not pay for online for warhawk . I do like this game and would be tough decision if i hade to pay . hmmm after some thought if it was reasonable price i would pay .

Yeah I have to say that to change the model mid way was proabably an unfair question. So its not an easy choice to think about.

Man i have so much fun wiht warhawk that if they asked me to pay or they would cancel my online acess I would be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Well I would drop it if it became a burden. this would be one of the last extravagencies i would stop paying for but I would probably pay for a short while.

It would kill the comunity if it ever happens. Sorry for the bummer question.

all things considered. i like sony and incognitos approach to not making the ps3 players pay for online access and servers. My Xbox is making me unahppy now.

man it would be a happy day if they let everyone access the servers for the 360 for no charge.
