couple ggl questions

couple ggl questions

Postby gemroz » Sun May 25, 2008 2:04 pm

I was on the ggl warhawk tourney website today and took a look at the ladder and we are in a tie for 7th place with alot of people. But it doesnt show us with any wins or losses we just have the 1000 points that we started with. I think we have 1 win from yesterday cuz the other team forfited. So my first question is when does that win show up on the ladder?

Also when i view the ladder there are only 7 teams showing up as having wins or losses. Im thinking if that is all the people playing in this tourney at the moment we could get a few wins or losses under our belt (preferably wins)and easily make the top 32 teams to move into the brackets!! All we need to do is play and we should make it according to the ladder! Here is the ladder link http://www.ggl.com/index.php?controller ... iew&id=643

Does anyone know when our next match is or does anyone know how to keep in contact with krazykat? I dont see him on our forums.

yeah, Krazy Kat's not on the forums, though he should be. I think to get the 2 wins (that we did get), Blister/Kat have to submit it as a win for the other team to verify or something like that.

hey nice input on krazykat sackboy STick thanks. yeah pay attnention to him for upcoming challanges.
Gemroz Yeah there are some issues with the matches and the reporting of them. I am waiting on feedback from a Mod on how to update the game relults. This round is a practice round and you wont get the knife until you are in the offical tier one ladder. so standings dont mean much but I think alot of the teams are placeholders possibly. cant say for sure.

Maybe im misunderstanding the rules then?? I thought that the top 32 teams from the practice ladder make it to the brackets? So it goes like this?
1: Practice ladder (meaningless/stats dont count)
2: Real Ladder???
3: Brackets??

hey Gem it does follow a pregression but the practice is a throw away its all 1 that rolls into tier two. the top 32 go from one to two and two is elimination battles.

Do you know the dates when practice ends and real begins? And to clarify, we do get a knife that we can use after the tourney just for playing in the tourney?

Team Practice Ladder - Ends Jun 15 2008 @ 10:59PM

Tier one begins imediately after.

Yes that is the cool thing the cerimonial knife becomes your knife. you never have the old knife again. I like the particapation aspect of that.

Man that is sweet!!! I dont think alot of people know that cuz in the offical rules it only talks about the championship blade not the ceremonial knife!!! Again that is sweet! I wonder what it will look like in game?

TB, don't feel like a jerk. From what you've said, it sounds like their rules are very complicated, and you didn't know.

Thanks and yes. I am ok so no worries. but yes the rules are not in one place are in flux and are convoluted.

as a leader you shold have all the info before involving others. the fact that with the best of intentions i thought everyone could get the knife does not matter. the simple fact is any non US residents will get left out of the particatpation prize
