any help is appreciated WHO. I love the ground guys, but we need pilots in the air too. I remember last GB we fought some clan who came at us with 8 Warhawks, and we had mostly ground pounders. I think the only pilots who flew up to challenge the 8 Warhawks were me and vash, and we got slaughtered. We need to have the right amount of air power if a clan of mostly pilots comes at us. If we can control the air, then the ground pounders will have free reign to do their stuff and get us the win. So it's not about pilots winning the game, it's about being coordinated in both the air and the ground to win.

Dude, this is great. You dont understand how much it helps to snipe airmines and man the turrets. If the other pilots are dodging stuff from the ground pounders or using up their chaff then it makes it that much easier for us to kill them quickly and move on to the next target. Also if you come to a base and need air support to take out a tank or troops just call it in and we can bring the c-bombs and TOWS.

I agree Pocket. That is where communication over the mic is key. It's like calling in for air strike support. Help us clear the skies, then call us in to bomb a ground target for the ground pounders.

i think we need to make a better system of communication. i've noticed that when we play games its pretty much lots of bs talk and frustration over getting killed and little actual tactical communication lol

go ahead and post yours. In fact I was gonna run an idea by you first WHO. Last night in practice me and Noodlez were talking over the mic. He was talking about making Sundays his official days to do a GB for the Spud Resistance 2 clan. He was wondering if we were gonna assign specific days to do GBs that way we don't overlap other games that Spud members may be battling in. Since I seem to do my Practices on Tuesdays and Fridays. I was thinking maybe we can aim to do GBs maybe Friday nights (I can move the practice), and maybe Saturdays or another day. What do you think? Could make it easier for players to commit, because they'll know there's always a GB at the Friday-weekend time frames. It's kind of like when i used to play basketball in high school. We'd practice all week, but know we had a live game on a Friday or Saturday.

haha dude thats exactly what i try to do. most of the games i either set up or accept are on friday or saturday.

do you think we should narrow it down to only 1 of the days or do you think both are good??

also i think we should have a set time period on those days. since it is the weekend i was thinking the games could from 7:00 pm cst to 10:00 pm cst.

looks like we're on the same wavelength WHO lol. How about we always do GBs on Fridays, Saturday, and sometimes Sundays. Now I know Noodlez has his Resistance GBs Sunday evenings. So if we had to, maybe we could do a mid day GB on a Sunday? But only if we had to. So I was thinking of these time frames for Warhawk GBs:

Fridays:
between 7pm Central and 11pm Central (a lot of our guys are night owls it seems)

Saturdays: between 12pm Central and 11pm Central (some of our guys do play during the day on weekends)

Sundays (if necessary): 12pm Central and 6pm Central (so as to not overlap Noodlez's Resistance GB battles in the evenings)

So what do you think WHO? I think with these time frames, everyone will know what to expect, and with advance notice people can show up. Also don't forget that with announcements we need to balance the pilot/ground pounder slots. I also think we should research the clan we're gonna fight before we see how many pilots and ground pounders we'll really need.
