Its kinda like when you ask someone "Are you stupid?" IRL, you know what I mean? I don't mean in a fight or argument ether. Like if your friend were to tell you he's getting super lollipop land for christmas. (Not a real game... I think... made that name up on the spot.)

50% chance I will be there wednesday, 100% chance I will be late if at all. 90% chance for friday and later works better for me anyway. Also a high chance of my homing missles destroying your planes. peace

LOL I love your enthusiasm Pocket. I think you're gonna enjoy Friday night's dogfight my friend. Kalm will be there for sure. And some more great pilots I have met will be there. MHunter is a new pilot I recruited to our clan, and he might be there. Vegito0209 also a new pilot to our clan might go. I also found this other incredible pilot named MOE_DOG or something like that, and I am working on bringing him here. He also might be at Friday night's battle, and this dude is deadly. He sure made me work up a sweat killing him the other night. I got him 6 times, and he got me 6 times. He's pretty damn good!

Sounds great! Will it be open for splitscreen? My brother comes over on friday night sometimes, he is very good in the air as well, maybe just step below me, but still better than most. As far as the new pilots, all you have to say is they gave you trouble and that says that they are pretty good.

DWOMT wrote:Ok guys it's that time again. I am announcing the two nights my server will be open for battle practice this upcoming week. So here's the dates and times:

Wednesday 12/10/08 8:00pm Central Time
Scrimmage battle night
This night will be all out warfare on several maps. Ground and air can be used. I will throw in CTF, Zones, TDM, DM, Hero, and collection if anyone wants it.

Friday 12/12/08 10:00pm Central
Dogfight night only
I made this match at 10pm that way it doesn't interfere with WHO's GB battle at 8pm. So this should work out.
Several maps consisting of deathmatch dogfights, team deathmatch dogfights, and a creative match that's FCTF where Warhawks can be used for CTF capturing. FCTF opens up some big dogfight possibilities, and gives ground pounders a chance to get creative with finding ways to stop incoming warhawks from landing to get the flag.

For these battles make sure to have your mics or at least be able to hear us for any special instructions. I can only host 16 people, so first come get in. Hope to see you guys there :yeh:

I get off work @ 5 Pacific time. I will try to be there if I can.

You got plenty of time Vegito. You should make it, then you can join in the carnage of battle on the DWOMT server :vil2:

Dwomt/anyone, have you ever used 6 axis? I'm planning to learn 6 axis (blame PSN forum) I'm not particularly good with ether pro or normal so its easier for me then most people. I used it a couple times when I first started playing... I crashed more with that then any other lol. From what I heard from PSN forum its possible to be good with 6 axis.

Yup, on both nights it will be open for split screen. So tell your bro to jump right in! :yeh:

I don't use the 6 axis beam. I once tried it, and yeah I was crashing all over the place lol. So I have never used it since then. As for different modes of flight, it just depends on what you're comfortable with. I felt better using pro flight, and I got good at it. If you ever want to see some air tips, I have them listed in the announcement section of this practice thread. There's a video and even a link to a tutorial on air tactics. Maybe they can help you out. I also recommend using the Warhawk training simulator the game provides, it's very helpful. I am also willing to provide flying lessons to anyone who needs them.

So DW are you the best pilot in the clan. I could use some lessons. I'm pretty sure there a lot I could still learn.

Well vegito, I don't like to put myself on a pedestal, but a lot of these guys always tell me I am the best pilot. I think the way I fight in the skies and my KDR speaks for itself. Heck the night you met me in that official server, I don't know if you noticed, but I was dominating the skies in that battle. I think I had like 43 kills and was only shot down twice. I can give you lessons, but my first step in teaching someone is to have them study the dogfighting material I provide. Go to the announcements section of the practice thread. Watch the video and read the tutorial I provide. Also practice in the Warhawk simulator that the game provides. Get your feet wet with this stuff first, then once you have me and you will go into a server together and you can ride with me in my Warhawk and watch how I fight.

@ vegito, listen to DW, he is a very talented pilot and definately one of the best. Its also a plus that he is not a jerk like most top pilots. Good game last night by the way DW, that was just a taste of my brother and I flying together. The blue team kept dropping like flies, I bet they went through 10 guys before you showed up. As always its fun to battle you, I feel sorry for the other team if we ever get on the same team. Hopefully be on tonite in your server but will be late.(9ish)

9pm is perfect man, we'll still be deep into battling by that time. I'm honestly looking more forward to Friday night's dogfight. I am itching to have that battle. Yeah me and you on the same team would be deadly. I'd feel sorry for the other guys we crush LOL. And last night's battle was fun. I got pwned by you guys though. I wasn't with a good team. I had like 3 to 4 Warhawks swarming me. I'd kill one guy on your team only to have 3 of you all locking on to me. So it wasn't a good fight for me. Plus I had just logged onto the PS3 and was playing cold lol. Oh well we all need our asses kicked every now and then, I needed a beat down! Anyways look forward to fighting with you again Pocket! :yeh:

lol. The people in this clan are too funny. In response to an earlier question about LBP. You really can't believe what everyone says to tell you the truth. I didn't really want it until I got it I guess.

I know for a fact it's not everyone's thing and some people will hate it, but there's off-beat humour and fun to be had, especially when you're playing with friends. Smart thing to do? Borrow it or find some way to play it without actually getting it. That way you're secure. Even if a game isn't particularly good, I'll always find the fun in it though. Alot of the games I had for 64 had a below 7 rating and I played them to death lol. But anyway.

I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE READY TO RUUUUUUUMBLE. PRACTICE IS UP!

Wow awesome practice tonight guys! I had a lot of fun and I hope you all did too. Kalm is right, we are a funny clan. I was cracking up a lot tonight while playing with you guys. I look forward to Friday's dog fight night.

And you're right Kalm, I have to give the game a try. I'll find a way to give LBP a try. So what was your favorite game on the N64 Kalm? Mine was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The ocarina of time was pretty good, but Majoras mask was better. My wife even loved that one. Once we stayed up till 7 in the morning playing. Ahhhhh good times. And yes the dogfight on friday will be awesome. I will do my best to be there.
