Hey guys, I haven't been on in a couple weeks because school is getting hectic with university applications and what not and I'm sorry about that. I have some bad news too. My PS3 just got the YLOD. Can't get it to turn on or anything. I'm looking into fixing it myself but it looks grim. After 2 years of fast and furious gaming, it's gone and died on me. Because of where I live (in the Caribbean) it's gonna be impossible to get it fixed before the summer when I usually go to Canada (where I bought it) and buying a whole new one may be unlikely until then as well because the damn things cost near a grand down here, so it looks like my spot in the clan will be in name only sadly. I enjoyed flying with you guys and laughing in practices and just generally having fun on WH. I won't be leaving the forum if I can help it and if I can get it fixed or get a new one in a reasonable time frame I'll be happy to get back in the air with you. All these games I have now are purely showpieces now lol. I had just gotten somewhere in Fallout 3 too. Just gotta tough it out for a while I guess and I'll be back to taking people out of the skies with you when I can. Thought I should let you know.

Hey thanks for letting us know Kalm, no worries man, we'll still keep you in the clan until you get things worked out. Just keep us posted on how you're doing. By the way, doesn't your PS3 have a warranty? Have you tried contacting Sony directly about maybe getting you a new system?

Actually it was about 3 weeks so almost a month yes. Actually DW I think I still am under warranty yes but I don't have the original packaging or receipt or anything of that sort. Transporting it down here with all that would have been a problem you see. The receipt I left in Canada and I'm not sure my family up there will be able to find it after two years of not needing it anyway. Shipping it back to Sony to get a new one will probably be more hassle than it's worth considering all the hullabaloo (when's the last time you heard someone use that word?) I'd have to go through.

If it was as simple as a corrupted hard drive I'd have no problem with it but after taking it out and trying to start the PS3 up with it out (which you are supposed to be able to do) I realised it must be internal problems. It won't let me get my Fallout 3 disc out of the drive either. I could scrounge up the money myself to buy one or I could wait till my birthday in March to get a new one. Either way I'll be out for a month, maybe longer. But I WILL get back in the game rest assured.

That sucks Kalm! Yeah might as well find a way to get a whole new system. Too bad you can't play Fallout 3, it's such an awesome game. Maybe we will see you back in Warhawk by March. Gonna miss flying with ya
