Ok guys due to the way a lot of elite clans play in GBs (cheap tactics if you ask me), I am gonna hold some practices next week to find ways to combat the elite clans, and I need all your input. Tell me what you guys think we need in a practice to make us ready to face an elite clan again.
Here are some of my ideas:
I did like the whole pick up a team mate in a Warhawk and drop them off at another vehicle idea that Vengance was using in last week's GB battle. I want to try something just like that. I think in a practice next week we will run some drills where all of us will be on one team and take turns spawning in and rushing over to the next man to lift him to an objective or vehicle, and we'd have to learn to get fast at it. Then I think once we start to get the hang of it we'll do a round where two teams of Spud members duke it out using this method and see how well we do.
What ideas do you guys have? I'll think up some more as time goes by.

Re: GB Practice ideas
i posted an idea for pilot training in another thread but i'll just say it again.
i think we should have our good pilots inside warhawks with our novice pilots who need to learn. some of the good ones could stay out and be on the opp team of the novices. then we could just have an air practice and that way the good pilots will be able to see what the novices are doing wrong and/or how they can improve. or we could do it the other way around and have the novices be passengers in the elite pilots warhawks so they could have an example of how they fly.
also, even though its not really a practice idea, i think that in games (ctf especially) instead of ppl just randomly trying to get the flag whenever they have a chance, we should ahve a convoy of jeeps/tanks, with maybe 2-3 jeeps with gunners and a couple tanks with passengers w/ rocket launchers. this way everyone has backup and even if one person dies there are still others to take their place. and if pilots try attacking the tank passengers w/ rocket launchers and our pilots could take care of them. this would only work properly in a larger game, like 8 v 8 or 10 v 10.
i'll try to post some more if i can think of them.

Re: GB Practice ideas
Yeah I still want to do some pilots teaching ground pounders to fly, and ground pounders teaching pilots to fight on the ground. I think we should eventually start pairing people up from the two categories and have them cross train each other. We cannot beat elite clans in a fight unless our members can fight both ways. Most elite clans rely on air power, we have to be able to do the same.
Oh and I still want to do base rape practices. Being able to break out of a base rape is crucial.
