gaming like that in the nonviolent sense can be a bridge builder so you may not have to con. your mom ( i know i am going all dear abby hear and i promise not to do it much) might like to game if she plays cards or crossword puzzles or board games. then the paradigm is more of a sideways shift then up or down. the contorls freak more noobs out then anythign i find. any way dont be embarassed and enjoy family time more so becase you are gaming durring it

Oh yeah, she LOVES puzzles, and is a fan of Guitar Hero, but as of tonight she will not pay for any of Rock Band. Maybe when I get $130 or $140 she'll pay the rest.

well in her defense i consider the Guitar hero / rock band thing a company scam to rob children but i am very jaded on some things. games should not cost that much or be that prohibitive to players.

i meant cost prohibiitve in that it mgiht keep general gamers and people on a budget excluded. not in creativity
