how do you get a dog to fetch an invisible toy??

maybe the dog sees in invisible..kinda like my favorite color being clear

it actually has a great deal to do with the dogs nature as a social animal and its ability to learn to comunicate non verbaly with people. they understand what pointing is and its meaning. where some ape species do not. how wild is that. anyway the dog is used to the throw motion meaning ball traveling in a direction and they anticapate and follow through even though you have just played a joke on them

I suppose. I guess anything is possible if you appeared week enoungh to the animal it would naturally respond to insticnt and challange your status. just geussing though

most of the time my dogs look at me with knowing eyes and are crusing me internally

it would probably give its life to protect your boy. good on you for rescuing it.

we have two adoped greyhounds one was an ex racer the other never raced but had the herritage( thats my fredinand the bull dog)

yeah it took alot of work to get him straightened out, he especially had really bad hoofs from a poor diet, that pic was about 2 or 3 months after we got him and you can see he has splayed hoofs, you could only trim them back maybe 1/2" and they woould bleed, but now he has almost perfect hoofs and has put on alot of weight, he was also walking duckfooted cause of the bad hoofs , finnaly got them cut so he walks straight now. His name is Lump

yeah i knew some ppl that used to breed greyhounds, they had hundreds and sold alot, i think they were all for racing.
im sure they had alot of money invested into their operation

there is a really sad underside to that industry much worse then horse racing. as you dont get 4 to 8 horsese every 4 to 6 months. you can imageine what that type of numbers does to an animals worth. they are kind of treated like paper towels. even the rescue agencies only scratch the surrface. sort of the same deal wiht the spca and animal shelters a lot more get euthneized then rescued

I watch Animal Planet alot especially the Houston SPCA shows where they rescue mistreated animals. Some ppl should not be allowed to even go near animals let alone own them. The town I live in now has a ban on Pit Bulls, I remember when it was all about Dobbermans and Rottwiellers, it takes a few misguided ppl to give breeds a bad rep.

yeah most deffinitely not a disney animal type of deal there.

the issue with greyhounds all stems from gamblaing as long as there is greed there will be somene misstreating the dogs. and idont think the gambaling is ever going away.

My dog could beat yours at anything, esspecially if that anything is hitting walls or not knowing that shes running in a circle when she thinks that shes running down a long path, yes I make my dog do those things XD.

oh man. poor pooch. my pups are fast but not well armored. one is nursing several scrapes right now. you would relally never belive how delicate they are. its a pain.

when we brought the first one home she had never seen anything bsides a crate. she walked into windows and was freaked out by the tv. those were kind of fun days. sad but funny.
