CTF Lesson:
#1 - In full map modes at least keep 3 bases, preferably the ones closest to your home base.
#2 - Never let the enemy get the base closest to your home base, makes it easier for them to attack, or bring in jeeps / tanks.
#3 - Match the enemy in air.
#4 - Give ample notice to your team when you are going for the flag
#5 - Have someone clear the mines that are most likely all over the enemy home base with a lightning strike or multiple lightning strikes.
#6 - Have air support as you are leaving with the flag.
#7 - Keep enemy aircraft away from the TOW missiles.
#8 - If all else fails, and you are subjected to a base rape situation, park a tank in the bunker and aim at the flag. Equip every member of your team with a rocket launcher. Have every turret in your home base up and going. Keep replenishing the mines as they will be destroyed by all the incoming lightning attacks. Finally pray to God there is only 1 or 2 minutes left!

honor of Mark's zones lessons, which are great by the way, keep it up man, I thought we should have a few capture the flag ones also. I know I'm not the only one frustrated every game when my team has no idea what to do in a game of ctf.
Base rape:
When a team is getting base raped, the majority of the time the team remains at their last base, all trying to defend the flag. This is the dumbest thing to do. In reality you only need about 2, maybe 3 players defending the flag when you're getting base raped. The rest of the team needs to go out and grab more bases. If your entire team is guarding the flag, how are you supposed to win? You are actually making it easier for the other team when your whole team is guarding the flag because they know if they can just get it out of your base, they've got the score.
Vise versa (I also see this a lot), when you're the team that's doing the base raping, go for the flag as many times as you possibly can. Over and over I see the team that's doing the base raping just hanging at the base closest to the other team's flag. They are not going for the flag, but instead just guarding that one base. Once again, how are you supposed to win if you don't score? The name of the game is capture the flag, not capture and keep the bases, that is called zones.
Multiple games with these types of players today compelled me to throw this up.
