Building a computer...

Building a computer...

Postby MichaelVash7886 » Tue Oct 14, 2008 9:43 pm

Been picking out parts, finally put in the order and now just have to wait for them all to get here. i can post a list of the parts if you guys want. I won't have a good monitor for a while, but hopefully I can get a good one sometime around Chrstmas.

Has anyone else built one?

No idea what you just said... :)

But that's awesome about building a comp. I was thinking about doing that, but I decided to just buy one. :)

ha. my mother board was an Asus. board with SLI crossfire ATI wiring for the video cards. hence i could scale link interface sli my video cards together to act as one . although spliting workload it does not double the gpu strenght

Not entirely sure what all that exactly means, but I can understand CPU speeds and memory, etc, and it sounds nice. Also, good decision to go with XP over Vista. :yeh:

Basically he's saying he can plug in two video cards to really kick graphics processing into high gear.

That's why I'm building this one. I'll know what's in it and what I will need to change to update certain things.

thats the reason i got a triple. upgrading gear and parts and crap to play new games doesn't appeal to me. so i got what i thought had the sexiest specs.

A triple core processor?

I don't necessarily want to upgrade for games. Just 4 or 5 years down the line, it may be running slow again. All I'll have to do is pop the mother board, RAM, and processor out and add the new stuff needed.
