After months of waiting, I managed to rent The Fall on Blu-Ray last week. The first film I've ever seen on BD, and it was good. There was an interesting behind-the-scenes featurette that is a bit too long, but it helped me to understand where the director is coming from. The director seems like a bit of a self-important ass, but it's still a pretty cool film.
It's sort of like The English Patient on acid.
Definitely one to see in HD.

Another good movie is "Dark city" my sister said it looked nightmareish. "Labyrnith" with david bowie is alittle kiddy but it has a good story. Taking about pans labrynith made me think of it.
I liked Dark City. sort of a matrix style is it real or not before the matrix came out. in the relm of the surreal Gabe and Mr F there is " City of Lost Chldren" you can watch it dubbed or with subbtitles. takes a little away from the experiance dubbed but subtitles you might miss some imagery. very very visual sureal and ethreial nightmarish sort of deal.

Hey Mister Blister.
I really enjoyed City of Lost Children! It's probably Ron Pearlman's best work. The director (Jean-Pierre Jeunet) also made Delicatessen and Amilee, which are also excellent. Have you seen those? Jeunet also directed Alien 4, which I quite liked. Sigourney Weaver is so damn sexy.
There was a fantastic short film on the UK VHS version of Delicatessen. It was called something like "Things I like" and featured actor Dominique Pinon, who seems to be in all of Jeunet's films.
WAIT! I've just found it on YouBoob. Clink this link:

Wow, you bought it! I think you'll enjoy Delicatessen if you liked City of Lost Children. That director is the best thing to come out of France since... the metric system.
