How many people own a 360? Im having a hard time picking between a bunch of ps3 games, or a 360 elite, with left 4 dead, fable 2, and gears 2.

Only reason Im even thinking about a 360 is because all my real life friends have it, and I just wanna play with em, but it it worth it? What else does the 360 have to offer?

as for ps3 games Im gonna get Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Socom confrontation(because of the mic, and I loved socom 2), Uncharted(heard it was a amazing game), maybe LBP, mirror's edge?, and maybe Valkyria Chronicles, with the ps3 controller keyboard thing with a DS3 controller......lol..A lot of money I know, but yea.

What do you guys think?

I'll never own a microsoft console. I will give them credit and say they've done a good job with the Xbox, but I prefer either Nintendo or Sony. Plus I've heard and known way to many people in real life that have had serious problems with their Xbox 360s. I've had several real life friends that bought the system, only to have to take it back because the system didn't work, or they got the red death thing that happens. Some of my friends had to wait a whole month for a replacement system. I've never had a problem with Sony or Nintendo consoles. Just my opinion though.

Really I can't see owning a 360 and a PS3 unless you just want all 3 consoles. I mean there aren't too many 360 exclusives (since a lot of the games are on PC) unless you want super hyped FPS 3. Now if you didn't have a PS3 you'd have a decision to make, but honestly it's tough for me to recommend a 360 when you have PS3. Bottom line, if you want to play your friends badly enough go for it (though I'd probably skip the elite as it's major change is a bigger hard drive and an expensive one at that) and just get the middle of the choices.

hey blue. well its nice to have a machine your flesh or local friends have. I dont do clan games on the 360 left for dead seemed interesting but the last big purchase i did was Mass Effect. I have not really played for awhile. I am not anticapating buying any. I am actually close to considering droping my 360 online agreement this coming renewal perriod. I have no real friends with either system and if no new exclusive titiles come out i might not be buying anymore soon. althought TOO Human has me drooling and TS recomended it. I never played the first gears so i dont know aobut that i can ask some one i used to work with who was a big gears fan.

DW yeah well this is my 3rd 360 man o man did i luck out doing the warranty thing. any way yeah unless you dont have a PC there really is no 100% 360 exclusive ooops sorry Halo. well you get RFOM2 which in its own way has as much atmosphere and hell i ll say it they are equally good yet disticnt titles.

hell Bomberman is coming to the PS3 online experiance soon. that is one less 360 has over PS3 i will download that as i had a blast playing with random people on the 360 with it.

I won't ever own a msoft console (unless they buy out all their competition), because I simply don't like them. And all the exclusives, except Gears, are on the PC. Which is also Msoft, but I've not choice there. It's XP dual-booted on my AWESOME mac.

Anyway...but having the console all your real friends have is pretty fun.

for about a year or two it was really the only gmae in town.

the friends thing is important the more you have the more you might play with them.

gears of war is the only game you will be playing on your 360 fable is garbage its a 5 hour long game -_-...now...if your ready to cough up $300+ on a system where you will only be playing one franchise which is gears of war...then by all means play it...i bought my little brother the 360 elite and we have 17 games for it..i swear to god the only game we ever play is gears of war and now gears of war 2...evry other game...we only play it for a day and thats it...so...consider that

Halo 3 is worth a look too...

But the one major turn off for me, other than it being made by msoft, is paying for online. I can't. I have NO money. Like, a game every 3, 4 months. I'm not spending one of those games on online that should be free. If not for that, Halo 3 multiplayer looks pretty fun.

and ima go ahead and double post because other people did it, but to me, Halo 3 looks like the most overhyped game EVER. Halo 2 was decent, but Halo 3 is trash

I actually think Halo 3 multiplayer looks decent, at least from a gameplay standpoint (ie, not considering the players being asses).

But I think one reason I dislike msoft is that they try to suck as much money out of us as possible, and most all of their stuff is a rip-off of other stuff. Oh, and I hate windows.

My parents are divorced and I have one at each house to change things up. All my real friends that I play games with have a 360 and you guys all have a ps3. Don't buy a 360 now as the newer one comes out in like a year and a half to two years and that system will only be on par with the ps3.

I agree with Noods... if you're going to take adavantage of the hardware you would need to get something more than the base model. However, if someone were just going to play disc games and not download or partake much in Xbox Live, I guess the $200 would get the job done. I've just read from multiple sources that the $200 360 is extremely watered down (don't know from personal experience as I don't own a 360 and have only played the Elites).

In my opinion, I don't really see the need to own both systems (just too similar in function and software).

and socom confontation is a really good game and it has some of the old maps off of the socom 2 but ive never played socom 2 but i have played socom combined assult and some of the old maps i know of in this game is frostfire, and crossroads but with really good graphics.

Yeah. Most of the issues are getting fixed in a patch soon.
