The Final Countdown

The Final Countdown

Postby DWOMT » Sat Jan 10, 2009 2:00 am

The other day me and Noodlez briefly talked about Time Travel and I remembered this movie. I don't know if any of you guys have seen or heard of this movie, it's an interesting flick. The plot of the movie involves a modern day nuclear aircraft carrier being pulled through time. The modern day USS Nimitz suddenly finds itself in an odd storm in the pacific during training exercises. Once the storm passes they start picking up radio broadcasts from the 1940s. They soon realize they are in the past...the date...December 6, 1941....the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor. It's a very cool movie. I recommend anyone with a fascination of time travel or History check it out. Here are some samples of the movie. One of the samples leads to an interesting dogfight if you watch it all the way through. Hope you guys enjoy it :D

this one doesn't have an embed for it:

Yeah that was the Philadelphia Experiment, not The Final Countdown. Supposedly the Philadelphia Experiment really happened during World War 2. The sailors involved came forward and said they were thrown from the 1940s into the 1980s for a short awhile before bouncing back.
