Venus

ok well today Venus passed in front of the sun, started around 6pm eastern. Wont happen again for another 105 years.

Since I am in-between scopes at the moment I had to ghetto it, but still got some images to share....


The little black dot is the Planet Venus







And this is how I did it....

Ducted taped my binocs to my tripod,
lined up my iphone camera to the eyepiece and duct taped it also,
used 2 welding lenses duct taped over the binocs,
also duct taped an ink pen to stabilize my iphone...

I was worn out from work and had to do some stuff remotely. I watched some of the images on tv cool shots. nicely done rambo style fish man.

the sun is a mass of incandescent gas a giant nuclear furnaces

yeah it worked out better that I thought, could have been better yet but it was not easy to focus the damn binocs by looking at the iphone screen

lol thanks sports, I really didn't think what I did would even work, and actually I could see it just looking thru the welding lens, I had to put a 10 and 8 together or it was to bright, but what the hell, I can say I saw it

maybe if you had lined up a 12 pack it would have worked
