the dog is recovering and having her staples out tomorrow. the incision does not look infected and she is acting like herself.

things are looking good for her.

sadly anyone wiht alzhimers does not get better so I am guessing some time soon i will be out of touch / offline for a day or two for my grandmothers funeral.

Thanks for the thoughts and wishes. guys. our dogs are our babies. i know its short term heart break waiting to happen but you also get a lot of love and joy from them.

any way she came through did not chew on her incision got the staples out. has one kidney poor pouch. her tests on her growth on her liver and other ones were all benign. So she did good. already thinking about chasing squirrels again. :-)

yeah Alzheimer's is really dehumanizing. i dont know how much this will help any of you who may face this but its not the victims fault. I dont really think of her as my grandmother in essence anymore only maybe by pure chemically the person she was died almost a year ago to me. she is just really strong and her body wont quit. to see someone lose their mind and memories its really cruel to those who are forced to care for them because the victim no longer understands in the end what is wrong with them. its the people who have to care for them that suffer emotionally. I know its not how i am going out. thats all i can say. any way thanks for the thoughts guys. :-)
