HELP!

i just thought i'd post a thread that would be for ppl who need help with something, mainly video game wise.

i'll go first .

my ps3 isn't recognizing dvds i rented from the video store anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it? sry if its kinda vague i'm not really sure wats wrong with it accept for its not recognizing dvds. also i never bothered to buy a dvd player cuz i already had one with my ps3 so i can't just watch it somewhere else and i'm really bored and wanna watch some movies so please help .

what country are you in ?

i ask this because the PS3 might be doing a region lock out on you

All these options are in the settings menu
Ok there is a BD/DVD settings menu but i dont think that will have what you are looking for


what my best guess is the BD/DVD settings and in the security menu and check the parental rules and region lock out settings.


US < ok then just make sure its set for region free or region one. and that you do not have the parental controls on

if that does not help. .... first make sure its a good dvd say on any other reliable player then you can rule out the disc .

the auto play may not be set to "ON" so you might have to navigate to the DVD image and click on it with your controller.
