I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My PS3 just reset (don't know why) and now it has a blinking red light and won't turn on!!!!!! What do I do to fix it?

Try turning it off in the back. If that doesn't work try un-plugging, let it sit for a minute then try again.

Oh No, you've got trouble. Usually the presence or absence of lights indicates a definite hardware problem. If you got no lights there's a good chance your power supply has bit the dust. Luckily for you you can swap this part out easily and for relatively very little money. Once you've opened your PS3 check to see which version of the power supply you have. When you purchase a replacement make sure it looks relatively the same.

If you've got blinking red lights you can try using the same tips above for the YLOD problem. Majority of the time I see this problem happening to PS3's that have overheated. I've always suspected that Sony has a heat trigger which stops the PS3 from working again once it has reached a certain temperature. If you know more about this problem please feel free to share any insight. I haven't devoted much time into finding the cause, but if you already have then by all means I'd love to hear your input.

I'm pretty sure Blinkind Red is a symptom of YLOD.

Try turning off your system in the back, unplugging it and leaving it like that for the rest of tonight. If that doesn't work your going to have to move up higher on the tech support ladder buddy

Actually you know what, I don't think it is YLOD, I think your HDD failed. Your HDD is your Hard Drive Disk.
Tommarow you should call Sony, or have your parents or W/E do it. Ask them if it is a HDD failure and if it is you can buy a new one now for around $90. IT HAS TO BE A 2.5 INCH SATA HDD. Not cheap but better than $150 and waiting forever

and if it is HDD failure and you gotta buy a new one, you lose ALL YOUR SAVE DATA. INCLUDING TROPHIES. So if this overnight thing doesn't work, either way you gotta pay a good lump of change and you lose your data and if you gotta send it in you gotta wait for ever.

ok hippo first you need to get a big hammer(24 ounce framing hammer works just fine) and tap it semi hard on the back right corner 4 times and 4 times only, then you need to immediatly put it in the microwave on "Popcorn" setting for 2.5 minutes, allow to cool on a cake rack for 5 minutes at room temperature, then imediatly wrap in in foil and put in the freezer for 24 hours, remove from freezer and with foil still on put it back in the microwave on "defrost" for appproximatly 7 minutes exactly, you might hear and see some popping sizzling sounds coming from the microwave but do not be alarmed, this is simply static buildup on the internal circuit boards zapping out any unnecassary parts that may be in there also interfering with your game play experience, if this does not work you can simply go buy a new one.

I also work on computers if any one needs one repaired.
