I'll prolly buy it anyway. I have no interest in any other game right now besides FFXIII. And you are kind of picky. So yeah.
but thanks for the warning

Completely disagree with Nood. 12 hours in and enjoying it.
I'm wondering if he said that after playing for 2 hours.

No was just making sure you got to the paradigm system. I'm enjoying the battle system and story, though I'm really hoping we can shift back to a certain other character. Don't get me wrong there's sometime where there are annoyances, but overall I'm liking it quite a bit.

the p-system isnt bad...but i rarely shift more than twice in a battle...for example i dont see the point in turning into a medic squad when you can jus drop a potion and everyone heals...the story is ok the one thing i do love is the level up system...i always thought the sphere grid was the best level up system in final fantasy and its good to see it back and improved in a way..i also dont like the fact i still cant choose my party when i have more than 3 people in my group -_-

I pretty much swap b/t 13 and BFBC2.
And believe me the battles start getting much tougher. Sometimes you will have to switch a ton in battles. And you have to keep a stock of potions and stuff, medic is free, but it counts as that person's attack. You've seen another cool thing in the game, but I'm betting you haven't gotten to use it at just 7 hours in.
I can understand the whole not being able to select chars, it's a bit annoying, but I can kind of see a bit of why they did it. First sometimes characters aren't really in a state to fight and secondly I think they have you switching leaders so you get to see all the paradigms.
